NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Detectives have charged a man in connection with the fatal shooting that occurred on Cedar Street.
Jahmel A. Hicks, 21-years-old, has been charged with the shooting death of 20-year-old Antonio I. Parker that occurred on January 28, 2018.
Just after 5:15 p.m., police were called to Cedar Street for a gunshot disturbance. When officers arrived, they found Antonio I. Parker inside an apartment suffering from a gunshot wound.
Parker, of the 800 block of Cedar Street, was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment; however, he died shortly after arriving.
Hicks, of the 1600 block of Berkley Avenue, has been charged with second degree murder and use of firearm in the commission of a felony.
He is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bond.
