NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A 20-year-old man is dead after a shooting Sunday afternoon in Norfolk.
Police were called to the 800 block of Cedar Street just after 5:15 p.m. When officers arrived on scene, they found the man inside an apartment with a gunshot wound.
Medics took him to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment; however, he died shortly after arrival.
The man's identity will be released once his family has been notified.
As detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this homicide, they ask anyone with information to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
Police have not released any suspect information or motive for the shooting.
