NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – Norfolk police have identified the woman shot and killed New Year’s Eve as 50-year-old Caroline M. Hendrix of the 8500 block of Tidewater Drive.
New Year’s Eve shooting leaves a person dead
On Sunday, December 31, 2017 police and fire-rescue responded to the 300 block of Virginian Drive for a person suffering with a gunshot wound. When first responders arrived, they found Hendrix sitting inside a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Medics immediately transported her to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where she died a short time later.
Detectives are actively pursuing leads in this fatal shooting.
