[ARCHIVED] Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) – A pedestrian was killed Tuesday night in a hit-and-run crash in Norfolk.

Around 10:40 p.m., police were called to the intersection of Saint Paul’s Boulevard and E. Charlotte Street for a motor vehicle crash with injuries involving a pedestrian. Once first responders arrived, they located an adult man lying in the intersection unconscious. Medical care was provided; however, the man died at the scene.

The vehicle that struck the pedestrian fled prior to police arrival.  Once investigators determine the suspect's vehicle description, an updated release will follow. 

The man’s name will be released once his family has been notified.
