[ARCHIVED] Man injured following shooting incident

NORFOLK, Va. (NPD) - Police request the public's assistance following an early-morning shooting incident that left a man hospitalized.

At approximately 3:15 a.m. Saturday, police responded to the 3100 block of Oklahoma Avenue for reports of a gunshot victim.  Officers located a man outside a residence suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  Norfolk Fire-Rescue Medics transported the man to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with what has been described as life-threatening injuries.

Police have not released any suspect description and encourage anyone with information about this shooting to contact the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
