NORFOLK, Va. - (NPD) A Sunday evening shooting has left a woman dead in the Chesterfield Heights area of Norfolk.
Shorty after 7:35 p.m. dispatchers received multiple calls for shots heard in the area of the 2700 block of Kimball Terrace.
When police arrived they found an adult woman inside a residence suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene.
Detectives are in the preliminary stages of this investigation and ask for anyone with information about this shooting to call the Norfolk Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
The woman's identity will not be released until a proper Next-of-Kin notification has been made.
